uec@hessler1.deRegulations – UEC European Cup Cycle Ball U23Participants: All European federations can register one team. A- group nations according to the
result of the last World Championships, only can register players in the age group
U23. In addition, players and teams of the age group (U19) can join.
Teams from the B-Nations can take part with no age limit. To qualify for the
following UCI World Cup Cycle Ball, the European B Nations have to join the
European Cycle Ball Cup U 23 the year before.
Furthermore, the host receives a "Wild Card", taking into account of the general
participation rules. A supplement of the field, if less than 10 Teams registrated, is
possible. It will be done by UEC based on the latest EC-result U 23. Therefore, we
ask all Nations Group A to register a second team. Nations, which ultimately take
part with two teams, must submit a commissaire, otherwise they may lose a
starting place.
With an increase in the number of nations, the UEC Commission may increase
the participation rate up to 12 teams. In this case, the game mode will be changed
accordingly.
Mode: Two preliminary round groups each 5 teams – 20 games
2 preliminary round groups of 5 teams, sharing is done according to the last
European Cup result.
First and second place will qualify for the final. The final consisting of 4 teams
and will be played each against each. The results among from the preliminary
rounds considered for the final and therefore will not be played in the final. The
other teams have to play placement matches.
The UEC European Cup will be played under the current UCI regulations Cycle
Ball.
Total Expenditure: Preliminary round 2 x 10 games = 20 games
Placement matches = 3 games
Finale 4 teams, each against each = 4 games
(results from the prelimery aus der Vorrunde werden ---------------------
mitgewertet) 27 games
All teams play at least five games accordingly. The teams reaching the final play
six games.
For the order of play in the group stage, the World Championships Regulations
apply. UEC commission creates the program and order of play.

If two teams from the same federation will reach the finale, these teams have to compete in the first
game of the finals. The Chief - Commissaire in consultation with the UEC representative will make the
change of the game sequence.
All teams start in the jersey of their club. Both players must belong to the same club.
Replacement teams or substitute players can participate for short-term loss of pre-nominated players or
teams.
The appointed Chief Commissaire is responsible for the implementation of Commissaires, result sheets,
etc.
